Glow Tea Set by Agustina Bottoni

Glow Tea Set celebrates a slower, more considered approach to tea brewing by elevating it to a contemplative process. Created by Argentinian product designer Agustina Bottoni the device uses the light and heat from a small candle to brew tea over a period of three to four hours.

The spherical glass vessel sits inside a handcrafted cork and wood base to create a scientifically styled object that highlights the chemical process of tea brewing. For similar products, see our previous trend update, Lab Look.

A more considered method of production encourages a slower pace of life and a stronger connection with the product and process, as explored within our industry trend Slow, and more recently, our trend update Product Design Unplugged

Glow Tea Set is part of a wider movement that is reinventing our relationship with this humble drink. See our report Brewing Innovation: Trends in Tea for more inspiration.
