Haroshi Foot Sculpture Series

Japanese artist Haroshi repurposes old wooden skateboards into works of art. The six-piece Foot with Invisible Shoe series of sculptures features multicoloured pairs of wooden mosaicked or striped feet encased in transparent renditions of Vans, HUF and Nike footwear.

The naturally occurring stripes evoke the linear aesthetic of the Motion Colour concept of the Stylus Spectrum for Spring/Summer 2014. The series was shown as part of the Jonathan LeVine Gallery display at Art Basel 2012 this month.
