Zuli Smartplug Controls Home Appliances

The Zuli Smartplug is a Bluetooth-powered device that allows owners to control the electrical devices in their home via their smartphone. Using the accompanying app, users can turn appliances on and off, dim lights, create custom settings and monitor energy consumption.
Capitalising on evidence that most smartphone owners keep their devices within five feet most of the time, the Zuli app automatically updates to display connected devices in occupied rooms. Zuli is also able to sense when a room is left unoccupied for a long period of time and shut off unused devices – a feature that will appeal to energy-conscious consumers.
“Your devices will adjust to who you are, what room you are in, and what your preferences are, to make you more comfortable and energy efficient,” claims Zuli’s San Francisco-based development team.

Similarly, products such as the Ubi and Ninja Blocks harness the power of the web to create a connected home, giving consumers more freedom to customise and control their environments than ever before.
