Origin: How It All Begins

ARS Electronica Festival celebrates the interactions between art, technology and society. Taking over the Austrian city of Linz since 1979, the theme of this year’s festival is Origin – How It All Begins, focusing on the start of the cosmos.

Delivered in partnership with the European Organization for Nuclear Research, (CERN), highlights include a series of introductory scientific symposia, a programme of film screenings and an exhibition of winners from the world’s highest endowed prize for digital arts, the Prix Ars Electronica.

The Create Your World: Future Festival of the Next Generation will run concurrently and aims to inspire the next generation of artists, scientist and inventors.

ARS Electronica takes place from August 31 to September 6 2011.
