Penhaligon’s Singapore Flagship

Following the boom in South East Asia’s luxury market and the area’s ongoing love affair with European heritage brands, historic British fragrance label Penhaligon’s has opened its first Asian store at the Ion Orchard shopping mall in Singapore.

Designed by London-based designers Jenner Studio, the boutique embraces quintessential British style, while also maintaining a contemporary edge.

The space incorporates sumptuous hues of pink and gold as well as luxurious finishes and textured surfaces, reflecting the brand’s eccentricities and heritage.

Christopher Jenner, creative director of Jenner Studio, said of the project: “Traditional British craftsmanship techniques have been employed throughout, which allowed us to support skilled artisans and also to reinforce the luxury credibility of the brand.” He also states that the aim of the new boutique is “attracting the young emerging Asian consumer into the youthful, eccentric and fun world of Penhaligons.”

The store precedes Louis Vuitton’s first South East Asian store, which opened at the Marina Bay Sands shopping mall on September 17 2011.
