Folk traditions and peasant artefacts have inspired Slovakian ceramicist Silvia K’s latest collection. The range’s whimsical and natural style highlights the youthful aesthetic described in Stylus’ Interiors Spring/Summer 2014 concept, Kinfolk.

The pieces feature naïve handpainted patterns and unglazed terracotta surfaces that reference landscapes and harvest season. Leather handles with brass rivets are elevating details.

Stylus first discovered the Brighton graduate at London show New Designers last year, and we are excited to see her work again this year in the One Year On section of the show. Stylus will be popping along to New Designers later this week, so look out for more coverage of emerging UK graduate talent coming soon.
