Klaus Haapaniemi for Established & Sons

Finnish designer Klaus Haapaniemi has collaborated with British design brand Established & Sons to create a collection of home accessories inspired by natural history, Finnish folklore and crafts.

Both Mammoth Tapestry and Meteor Ottoman involve a 15th-century tapestry technique, embellished with vivid hand embroidery. The vibrantly coloured Volcano Rug (pictured) is hand-tufted from many layers of wool, with references to last year’s volcanic ash cloud in Iceland – an image that also made it onto this year’s infamous Established & Sons canvas tote bag.
