E-tailer Motilo / Jonathan Saunders LFW Partnership

Luxury e-commerce and social media site Motilo has joined forces with London-based fashion designer Jonathan Saunders to sell his Spring/Summer 2013 collection as it hits the catwalks via a live stream on September 16. Motilo’s chief executive Sofia Barattieri describes the partnership as “the natural evolution of online shopping”.

Motilo launched in 2011 as an online space where friends can browse, shop, create and discuss outfits. With a user-friendly Skype facility, the site enables users to shop with their friends on the internet wherever they are in the world.

For Saunders, this collaboration presents an opportunity to reach and interact with a global audience beyond the select few who actually attend the bi-annual fashion shows. "Bricks-and-mortar retail and e-commerce are both constantly evolving and for me, it is important to be able to listen to what the customer wants and how they respond to this ever-changing marketplace,” he comments.
