The Conversation

The Conversation – a new website by Andrew Jaspan, ex editor-in-chief of Australia’s The Age newspaper – attempts to use research and analysis from leading universities and research bodies to influence journalism.

The website aims to deepen universities’ engagement with the public and to steer journalism towards a new, more positive direction. “Journalists are good at highlighting problems but not producing solutions. Within universities there’s more inclination to look forward and suggest solutions,” says Jaspan.
