Snow Palette, Japan

Situated in the Sapporo Art Park, Japanese artist Toshihiko Shibuya has created Snow Palette, an installation of elevated coloured iron discs that reflect vibrant hues onto the white canvas of snow that lies beneath them.

Shibuya’s work shows how colour is dependant on both its surroundings and the quality of natural light present.

The exhibition runs until March 7 2012.
