Portuguese Apartment Channels Yellow

Portuguese architects Pedro Varela and Renata Pinho have recently renovated an apartment in their home country, installing a large yellow storage unit as a means of dividing the space and providing storage.

Dominating the space, the custom-designed unit incorporates a kitchen area and a doorway, allowing residents to move from one section of the apartment into another. Choosing to use a single bright hue, Varela and Pinho’s solution displays a playful and daring approach to colour, and an emerging bravery concerning interior schemes.
