The second edition of the Stylus Innovation Forum – Future Fast Consumption – took place at Hearst Towers, New York on November 12.
The Forum, which drew on reporting across our Retail, Media & Marketing and Food, Beverage & Hospitality divisions, featured presentations by Stylus’ head of advisory Antonia Ward and Tessa Mansfield, senior vice-president of Consumer Lifestyle.
The Stylus content delivered an in-depth look at the future of the supermarket, next-gen functional food, how the store can become the ultimate omni-channel portal, and much more.
Guest speaker for the morning was New York-based digital strategist and author of the recently published book Reputation Economics: Why Who You Know is Worth More Than What You Have, Josh Klein. In conversation with Ward, Klein focused on the colossal amounts of consumer data collected online, and how this is used by businesses to predict a consumer’s future behaviour.
Attendees were also given the chance to sample a selection of featured next-gen functional foods, including IPS (Intelligent Protein Snack) egg-white chips, and Blockhead Energy Gum, which supplements the body with caffeine and vitamins five times faster than drinks and tablets.
