Anne Lindberg: Thread Works

American artist Anne Lindberg has recently transformed both the Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts, Nevada and the Nevada Museum of Art by installing hundreds of threads in each space to distort visitors’ perceptions of colour and space.

Although the colour of the thread used is key to each work, Lindberg also assesses the natural and artificial light in each space as well as the potential path of each visitor when designing the individual installations.

Lindberg’s exhibition, Modal Lines, runs from March 24 until July 15 2012 at the Nevada Museum of Art. Her work, Drawn Pink, was featured in the Placemakers show, which finished at the Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts on March 31 2012.
