Virgin's Bespoke Shoe Service

Airline Virgin Atlantic has launched a bespoke shoemaking service for its upper-class passengers.

Partnering with men’s footwear brand The Left Shoe Company Virgin are currently offering a month-long opportunity for passengers to have their feet measured by a 360o  3-D digital scanner in the airline’s Clubhouse Lounge at London Heathrow airport.

Passengers will then be able to browse and order shoes, customising colour, style, material and sole to suit their individual preference while waiting for their flight’s departure. They can also have the shoes inscribed with their flight number and destination to create a personalised souvenir of their trip.

Providing a well-targeted, captive market for The Left Shoe Company and a sense of exclusivity for Virgin Atlantic customers the initiative shouts of shrewd brand-building activities for both parties.
