Vac from the Sea

An exhibition at Stockholm’s Sjöhistoriska Museet (Maritime History Museum) aims to raise awareness about marine plastic waste to inspire customers to increase recycling efforts.

Featured in the exhibition are the results of Electolux’s Vac From the Sea project – a range of five vacuum cleaners manufactured using recycled plastic waste collected from the world’s oceans. Each of the vacuum cleaners is made from materials collected from five different marine habitats – the Baltic, the Indian Ocean, the Pacific, North Sea and Mediterranean.

Vac From the Sea opened on March 2 2011.
