The Outnet Launches Iris & Ink Clothing Line

Online designer outlet store The Outnet has launched its own clothing line, called Iris & Ink. The new brand has been created with the intention of complementing The Outnet’s discounted designer wares, providing wardrobe essentials and directional, yet wearable separates. Eighteen pieces were launched as an initial offering on the site on Monday (September 17 2012), with more pieces slated for release soon.
Separates currently for sale include trench coats, cashmere sweaters and silk shirts, with prices around the boutique end of affordable, ranging from £62 ($100) – £225 ($364). Iris & Ink will release collections seasonally, with Autumn/Winter 2012-13 set to include jeans, colour-blocked trousers and trend-led leather and lace pieces.
Mo White, The Outnet’s creative director, said the name Iris was inspired by American businesswoman and fashion maverick Iris Apfel and British model Iris Palmer, while Ink references the edgier side of the label. Iris & Ink is retailing now on The Outnet.com.
