Liberty Pops-Up in Westfield for the Olympics

This May, London department store Liberty will open a pop-up store in Westfield’s Stratford City shopping centre (adjacent to the London 2012 Olympic Village) – aimed squarely at capitalising on the vastly increased footfall generated by the games. During July and August, an estimated 5.5 million international visitors are expected to flock to the English capital for the games.
Sitting alongside permanent luxury stores from brands including Italian fashion house Prada and fellow British fashion brand Mulberry, the pop-up will offer consumers an edited selection of the heritage department store’s product range, no doubt seeking to take full advantage of its quintessentially British identity.
The retail space will be opened on a temporary lease, although rumour has it that Liberty is testing the water for a permanent store at Westfield Stratford City.
