Catwalk Beauty S/S 2014

Spring/Summer 2014 was divided into two opposing directions for beauty: ultra-natural, and bold and experimental that worked to challenge classic applications of cosmetics, colour and styling.

A feeling of artistic creativity came through both hair and make-up this season, as make-up artists and stylists pushed boundaries and broke rules with bright colour, graphic lines and looks that worked as the antithesis to traditional notions of beauty, feeling relevant and rebellious.

Elsewhere, Prada’s shimmering, monotone colours and side partings direct two of the key trends for hair, while eye shadow is back with a bang with a spectrum of colours being applied in both retro and contemporary ways.

We highlight the biggest S/S 14 trends for hair and make-up, focusing on styling, cosmetics colour and application.
