Shoescribe for Footwear Fanatics

Offering a specialised editorial experience alongside the opportunity to buy, e-commerce site Shoescribe offers footwear fanatics an online home for trended selections of shoes from both high-end designer brands and cult favourites. A roster of guest curators and stylists picks all the items.

Launched earlier this month by Federico Marchetti – the Italian entrepreneur behind luxury fashion e-commerce sites Yoox and The Corner – the site’s stylist picks are arranged by trend story. Currently, these include Everything is Illuminated, Caged Classic, and One of the Boys – the latter two inspired by the recent Hollywood films W.E. and Albert Nobbs.

Shoescribe also offers editorial styling advice and inspirational street-style photos to help consumers make informed purchasing decisions. And it even has its own fictional footwear agony aunt, Ms. Suzie Scribe, who dispenses advice, answers questions, and provides tips on how to style and wear the shoes available on the site. While anyone may shop on the site, subscribers who pay an annual fee of $149 (£94) can take advantage of additional shoe care and cobbling services.
