Colour-Based On Nature

Amsterdam-based graphic designer Irma Boom has worked in collaboration with international institution Unesco to produce a book for publisher Thomas Eyck titled Colour-Based on Nature. Taking inspiration from world heritage sites around the globe, each page depicts a colour palette derived from a location.

Alongside the book, Boom and Eyck have released a series of wallpapers representing an individual landmark. The products indicate a growing interest in viewing the world purely as colour information, resulting in minimal graphic arrangements focusing on hue.
