Cupcake Automat Fuses Industrialism & Play

Subverting the cutesy nature of the cupcake, Sprinkles bakery in LA is selling its edible wares 24 hours a day via the industrial medium of a vending machine embedded into its storefront.

The ATM-inspired cupcake machine sits within a vertically striped arrangement of multi-coloured perforated metal panels, mixing playful and functional aesthetics.

Alongside its range of standard cupcakes, the vending machine also sells speciality cakes for dogs, baking mixtures, and souvenir items.
