Pot Pourri from Odette Toilette

London-based perfume fanatic Odette Toilette, known for her scent-based events, has released her first product, Blend #1 – a modern pot pourri made from cured plants, flowers and spices.

The fragrance was created in collaboration with British company Darasina Perfume, which specialises in historic recipes and using scents that can be found in English gardens.

Blend #1 is made by hand from two litres of rose petals that are cured in salt for several months to allow the fragrance to develop. Other ingredients include lemon verbena, mint, Russian coriander and Tonka bean.

Each sleek black clay pot has been made by a family-run pottery manufacturer in Yorkshire and has a cork stopper that can be removed when the scent is desired. Blend #1 is now available in a limited edition of 250 at £45.
