Mini Campervan Concepts

British auto brand Mini recently revealed three concept cars that offer creative and compact alternatives to overnight vehicle solutions: the Clubvan Camper, the Countryman A114 Camp and the Cowley Caravan.

Based on a standard Mini, the Clubvan Camper sleeps one and has an inbuilt hand-held shower and extendable kitchenette – perfect for quick getaways or extreme sports. For impromptu off-road adventures, the Countryman All4 Camp has a four-wheel drive system and features a pop-up roof tent that sleeps two. The most luxurious option is the Cowley Caravan, which features a solar panel to power a fridge, television and audio system.

Although no plans to manufacture these models have been announced, the designs show an awareness of a growing number of consumers looking for new and affordable travel experiences. For more examples of this trend, see Stylus report On the Road: A Home Away from Home
