Jeong Mee Yoon: Colour & Gender

Korean photographer Jeong Mee Yoon’s photographic study of colour and gender, titled The Pink & Blue Project, depicts young girls and boys alongside their respective collections of pink and blue objects.
Initiated in 2005, Yoon’s project captures the colour stereotyping of children’s toys, books and clothing, highlighting the objects associated with each of the sexes, and acting as a comment on the intended consumer gender of each item.
