Innuendo Restaurant, NY

Extra

For modern diners, a restaurant’s design and ambience can be as equally important as the quality of the food. With this in mind, New York-based architectural practice Bluarch has designed a stunning space with a cloud-like ceiling installation for Innuendo Restaurant in Long Island, NY.

The poplar wood structure has a fluidity that makes it appear to hover above diners’ heads, which is enhanced yet further by carefully placed LED lighting within the installation. Its geometric nature reflects the urban sprawl outside the glass-fronted restaurant. The rest of the décor has been kept minimal to heighten the impact of the ceiling.
